Description

BPC-157 is a 15-amino-acid synthetic peptide and one of the most-studied compounds in preclinical tissue-repair research. Pure Peptides Canada supplies it as a lyophilized research reagent in 10, 20 and 40 mg vials, with an independent Janoshik HPLC and mass-spectrometry report, CAD pricing and tracked shipping from inside Canada.

BPC-157 at a glance

  • What it is: a pentadecapeptide (GEPPPGKPADDAGLV) modelled on a sequence from a human gastric-juice protein, first described at the University of Zagreb in the early 1990s.
  • What researchers study: tendon, ligament, muscle and gastrointestinal injury models, blood-vessel formation and nitric-oxide signalling.
  • Evidence level: a large body of cell and rodent work; human data is limited to small pilot reports.
  • Supplied as: sealed lyophilized powder in 10, 20 or 40 mg, single vial or box of 10.
  • Delivery: ships from inside Canada by tracked Xpresspost in 3–7 days ($25 CAD), or free in 4–12 days on orders over $299.

What is BPC-157?

BPC stands for Body Protection Compound. Predrag Sikirić’s group at the University of Zagreb identified the 15-residue sequence as a fragment of a larger protein found in human gastric juice, and it has been studied as a synthetic peptide ever since. It is unusually stable for a short peptide, which helped make it a long-running model compound in gastrointestinal research.

Most of what is known comes from rodent models of tendon, ligament, muscle, bone and gut injury, plus cell work on fibroblast migration and blood-vessel growth. Mechanistic papers describe interactions with the nitric-oxide system, VEGFR2 signalling and the FAK–paxillin pathway in cultured tendon fibroblasts. These findings are preclinical. They describe what happens in cells and animals under controlled conditions, not established effects in people.

What BPC-157 research looks at

  • Tendon and ligament models: fibroblast outgrowth, migration and growth-hormone-receptor expression in cultured tendon cells.
  • Gastrointestinal models: ulcer, fistula and anastomosis healing in rodents, the area where the compound originated.
  • Angiogenesis: VEGFR2 activation and new vessel formation in cell and animal studies.
  • Muscle and bone: crush, transection and fracture-healing models.
  • Side-by-side work with TB-500: the two are often compared. Our BPC-157 vs TB-500 comparison explains how they differ.

Regulatory status: BPC-157 is not an authorized drug in Canada. Health Canada’s April 2026 public advisory on unauthorized injectable peptides names it, and it has been on the World Anti-Doping Agency prohibited list since 2022. We sell it strictly as a laboratory reagent for in-vitro research.

BPC-157 FAQ

Where can I buy BPC-157 in Canada?

Pure Peptides Canada stocks BPC-157 as a lyophilized research reagent in 10, 20 and 40 mg vials and ships it from inside Canada by tracked Xpresspost in 3–7 days ($25 CAD), or free in 4–12 days on orders over $299.

Is this BPC-157 third-party tested?

Yes. The listing links an HPLC purity and mass-spectrometry identity report from Janoshik Analytical, an independent lab. Open it before you order. Our COA guide explains how to read one.

What is the difference between BPC-157 and TB-500?

They are unrelated molecules. BPC-157 is a 15-residue fragment of a gastric protein. TB-500 refers to thymosin beta-4, a 43-residue actin-binding peptide, or its short active fragment. Both appear in tissue-repair research, which is why they are often compared.

Is BPC-157 approved by Health Canada?

No. BPC-157 is not an authorized drug in Canada, and Health Canada’s April 2026 advisory names it among unauthorized injectable peptides. It is sold here only as a laboratory reagent for in-vitro research.

How should BPC-157 be stored?

Keep the sealed lyophilized vial cold and away from light. Dry powder is far more stable than a solution. Our peptide storage guide covers lab handling basics.

Can BPC-157 be used in people or animals?

No. It is for in-vitro laboratory research only and is not a drug, supplement or food. We do not provide dosing or administration information.

For laboratory research use only. Not a drug, supplement, food or cosmetic, not for human or veterinary use, and not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.

    CAVancouver, BC

Speeds up recovery time and repairs injuries very quickly. This is an amazing peptide. Just don’t use for longer than necessary.. I use it for a month or so at a time personally. 5 Stars

  4. Dorothy Mckenna –

    Great product!

    CAKelowna, BC

If you’ve had gastrointestinal issues like IBS… you know that you would do anything to help you with it. I’m not going to say this cured IBS, because there is no known cure, but its reduced symptoms by at least 50-60% on just 2 cycles. There’s no long term research yet, so it’s advised to take breaks between cycles.. do your own research of course.. I am just happy I found something that’s giving me a better quality of life.

  5. Lecrae –

    Amazing!

    CAOakville, ON

I love bpc-157. Healing my torn achilles crazy fast. Friends and family are also amazed!
