Description

CJC-1295 with DAC is the long-acting member of the CJC-1295 family: a stabilized GHRH(1-29) analogue carrying a Drug Affinity Complex that binds blood albumin and stretches its activity from minutes to days. Pure Peptides Canada supplies it as a lyophilized research reagent in 5 mg vials, with an independent Janoshik HPLC and mass-spectrometry report, CAD pricing and tracked shipping from inside Canada.

CJC-1295 with DAC at a glance

  • What it is: Mod GRF (1-29) with an extra lysine carrying a maleimidopropionyl group, which links covalently to albumin after it enters circulation.
  • Why it matters: in 2006 human pharmacology studies, single doses raised GH and IGF-1 for days, with an estimated half-life of roughly six to eight days.
  • Evidence level: cell and animal work plus early-phase controlled human studies. Clinical development was discontinued and it was never approved.
  • Supplied as: sealed lyophilized powder, 5 mg, single vial or box of 10.
  • Delivery: ships from inside Canada by tracked Xpresspost in 3–7 days ($25 CAD), or free in 4–12 days on orders over $299.

Where the evidence stands

  1. Cell studies

Early-phase human studies were published in 2006. Development was discontinued and CJC-1295 is not an approved medicine.

What is CJC-1295 with DAC?

CJC-1295 was developed by the Montreal company ConjuChem using its Drug Affinity Complex technology. The idea was simple: attach a small reactive group to a short-lived peptide so that, once in circulation, it bonds to albumin, the most abundant blood protein, and rides along with albumin’s long half-life. Applied to a stabilized GHRH(1-29) analogue, it turned a hormone fragment that lasts minutes into one that lasts days.

Two papers in the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism in 2006 reported that single doses in healthy adults raised growth hormone and IGF-1 for days, and that the normal pulsatile pattern of GH release was preserved rather than flattened. Those studies make it one of the better-characterized research GHRH analogues, but ConjuChem stopped developing it and it never reached approval.

DAC or No DAC? The two are often mislabelled in the research market and are not interchangeable. The DAC form weighs about 3647 Da and the plain Mod GRF 1-29 about 3368 Da, so the identity mass on the lab report tells you which one is in the vial. For the short-acting version, see CJC-1295 No DAC.

What CJC-1295 DAC research looks at

  • Albumin conjugation: how covalent albumin binding extends the half-life of a small peptide.
  • Sustained versus pulsatile stimulation: comparisons with short-acting GHRH analogues such as Mod GRF 1-29 and sermorelin.
  • GH and IGF-1 dynamics: the duration and pattern of downstream signalling after a single exposure.
  • GHRH-receptor pharmacology: receptor engagement and desensitization over long exposure windows.

Regulatory status: CJC-1295 is not an authorized drug in Canada. Health Canada’s April 2026 public advisory on unauthorized injectable peptides names it, and GHRH analogues are on the World Anti-Doping Agency prohibited list. We sell it strictly as a laboratory reagent for in-vitro research.

CJC-1295 DAC FAQ

Where can I buy CJC-1295 DAC in Canada?

Pure Peptides Canada stocks CJC-1295 with DAC as a lyophilized research reagent in 5 mg vials and ships it from inside Canada by tracked Xpresspost in 3–7 days ($25 CAD), or free in 4–12 days on orders over $299.

What does DAC stand for?

Drug Affinity Complex, ConjuChem’s name for the reactive maleimidopropionyl group that bonds the peptide to albumin and extends its activity.

What is the difference between CJC-1295 DAC and No DAC?

Both share the same stabilized GHRH(1-29) core. The DAC version binds albumin and acts for days in study models. The No DAC version, also called Mod GRF 1-29, is short-acting. They are not interchangeable in a study design.

Is this CJC-1295 DAC third-party tested?

Yes. An HPLC purity and mass-spectrometry identity report from Janoshik Analytical, an independent lab, is listed on our Lab Testing page. Our COA guide explains how to read it.

Is CJC-1295 approved by Health Canada?

No. CJC-1295 is not an authorized drug in Canada, and Health Canada’s April 2026 advisory names it among unauthorized injectable peptides. It is sold here only as a laboratory reagent for in-vitro research.

Can CJC-1295 DAC be used in people or animals?

No. It is for in-vitro laboratory research only and is not a drug, supplement or food. We do not provide dosing or administration information.

For laboratory research use only. Not a drug, supplement, food or cosmetic, not for human or veterinary use, and not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.

In depth: CJC-1295 with DAC: the albumin-binding GHRH analogue explained covers how the DAC binds albumin and what the 2006 human studies found.
