Description
N-Acetyl Selank is Selank with an acetyl cap on its N-terminus, a small change that blocks the enzymes that usually start breaking down short peptides. It is stocked for stability and analogue-comparison work alongside standard Selank. Pure Peptides Canada supplies it as a lyophilized research reagent in 10 and 50 mg vials, with CAD pricing and tracked shipping from inside Canada.
N-Acetyl Selank at a glance
- What it is: Ac-Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg-Pro-Gly-Pro, the tuftsin-derived heptapeptide Selank with an acetylated N-terminus.
- Why the acetyl group: capping the free N-terminal amine blocks aminopeptidases, so the peptide is expected to last longer in biological matrices than standard Selank.
- Evidence level: published data on the acetylated form is limited compared with standard Selank, which has Russian clinical and preclinical research behind it.
- Supplied as: sealed lyophilized powder in 10 or 50 mg, single vial or box of 10.
- Delivery: ships from inside Canada by tracked Xpresspost in 3–7 days ($25 CAD), or free in 4–12 days on orders over $299.

Most published research is on standard Selank. Data specific to the acetylated form is limited.
What is N-Acetyl Selank?
Selank was designed in Moscow by adding a Pro-Gly-Pro tail to tuftsin, an immune peptide that otherwise breaks down in minutes. That tail protects the C-terminal end. N-acetylation protects the other end: aminopeptidases need a free N-terminal amine to start cutting, and an acetyl group removes it.
N-Acetyl Selank therefore has the same sequence as Selank but a chemically capped front end and, in principle, better resistance to breakdown during incubations in plasma, tissue homogenates or culture media. Because the anxiety-model, GABA and BDNF findings were reported for standard Selank, the most informative study designs run both forms side by side.
Testing note: lab reports are listed on our Lab Testing page. Check that the report names the acetylated form. Its mass should be about 42 Da higher than standard Selank. Regulatory status: N-Acetyl Selank is not an authorized drug in Canada. We sell it strictly as a laboratory reagent for in-vitro research.
What N-Acetyl Selank research looks at
- Peptide stability: degradation of acetylated versus standard Selank in biological matrices.
- Analogue comparisons: activity relative to standard Selank in the same model.
- GABAergic and enkephalin signalling: pathways first described for the parent peptide.
- Immune signalling: cytokine effects inherited from tuftsin.

Where can I buy N-Acetyl Selank in Canada?
Pure Peptides Canada stocks N-Acetyl Selank as a lyophilized research reagent in 10 and 50 mg vials and ships it from inside Canada by tracked Xpresspost in 3–7 days ($25 CAD), or free in 4–12 days on orders over $299.
What is the difference between N-Acetyl Selank and Selank?
The sequence is identical. N-Acetyl Selank adds an acetyl group to the N-terminus, which blocks aminopeptidase breakdown and is intended to improve stability. Most published research is on standard Selank.
How do I confirm I have the acetylated form?
By mass. The acetyl group adds about 42 Da, so the identity mass should be near 794 Da rather than Selank’s 751.9 Da. Our COA guide explains how to read a report.
Is N-Acetyl Selank approved in Canada?
No. It is not an authorized drug in Canada or elsewhere. It is sold here only as a laboratory reagent for in-vitro research.
Can N-Acetyl Selank be used in people or animals?
No. This product is for in-vitro laboratory research only and is not a drug, supplement or food. We do not provide dosing or administration information.
For laboratory research use only. Not a drug, supplement, food or cosmetic, not for human or veterinary use, and not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.
