Description
Survodutide (BI 456906) is an investigational lipidated peptide that activates both the glucagon and GLP-1 receptors, developed by Boehringer Ingelheim with Zealand Pharma and studied heavily in fatty-liver disease. Pure Peptides Canada supplies it only as a lyophilized laboratory reagent in 10 mg vials, with an independent Janoshik HPLC and mass-spectrometry report and tracked shipping from inside Canada. It is not an approved medicine and is not for human use.
Survodutide at a glance
- What it is: a glucagon/GLP-1 receptor dual agonist built on a glucagon-like sequence, with a fatty-acid side chain and an amidated C-terminus.
- What researchers study: liver-fat and MASH models, the balance between glucagon and GLP-1 receptor activity, and comparisons with other incretin agonists.
- Evidence level: cell, animal and controlled human trials, including the Phase 3 SYNCHRONIZE programme. Not approved anywhere.
- Supplied as: sealed lyophilized powder, 10 mg, single vial or box of 10.
- Delivery: ships from inside Canada by tracked Xpresspost in 3–7 days ($25 CAD), or free in 4–12 days on orders over $299.
Regulatory status: survodutide is an investigational compound and is not authorized in Canada or approved anywhere. We sell it strictly as a laboratory reagent for in-vitro research to qualified research buyers, and we do not provide dosing, administration or medical information.

Phase 3 obesity results were reported in 2026, and the FDA granted breakthrough therapy designation for MASH with fibrosis in 2024. Survodutide is not approved anywhere.
What is survodutide?
Survodutide belongs to the same family as mazdutide: long-acting peptides that pair GLP-1 receptor activity with glucagon receptor activity, an idea modelled on the gut hormone oxyntomodulin. Glucagon-receptor signalling drives fat oxidation in the liver and energy expenditure, while GLP-1 signalling is meant to offset glucagon’s effect on blood glucose. A fatty-acid side chain lets survodutide bind albumin and stay in circulation far longer than either native hormone.
Its development has leaned on the liver. The FDA granted fast track designation in 2021 and breakthrough therapy designation in 2024 for MASH with fibrosis, after a Phase 2 trial in biopsy-confirmed MASH was published in The New England Journal of Medicine in 2024. The Phase 3 SYNCHRONIZE trials reported obesity and type 2 diabetes results through 2026. Results, with sources, are in our mazdutide vs survodutide guide.
What survodutide research looks at
- Liver models: hepatic fat, MASH and fibrosis pathways linked to glucagon-receptor activity.
- Receptor balance: relative activity at glucagon and GLP-1 receptors in receptor-expressing cell lines.
- Class comparisons: side-by-side work with mazdutide and the tri-agonist retatrutide.
- Analytical methods: separating similar-sized lipidated incretin peptides by mass and chromatography.

Where can I buy survodutide in Canada?
Pure Peptides Canada supplies survodutide only as a lyophilized laboratory reagent in 10 mg vials, shipped from inside Canada by tracked Xpresspost in 3–7 days ($25 CAD), or free in 4–12 days on orders over $299. It is not a medicine and is not sold for human use.
Is survodutide approved?
No. Survodutide has reported Phase 3 results but is not approved anywhere, including Canada. It holds FDA breakthrough therapy designation for MASH with fibrosis.
What is the difference between survodutide and mazdutide?
Both activate the glucagon and GLP-1 receptors, but they are different molecules from different companies. Survodutide has a mass of about 4232 Da and mazdutide about 4563 Da, so mass-spectrometry data tells them apart.
How do I confirm the identity of a survodutide batch?
Check that the mass-spectrometry result matches survodutide’s theoretical mass, about 4232 Da, that the HPLC method suits lipidated peptides, and that the lot number matches your vial. Our COA guide and HPLC guide explain what to look for.
Can survodutide be used in people or animals?
No. This product is for in-vitro laboratory research only and is not a drug, supplement or food. We do not provide dosing or administration information.
For laboratory research use only. Not a drug, supplement, food or cosmetic, not for human or veterinary use, and not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.

I tried Ozempic for 6 months and lost the weight but also lost too much muscle, when I stopped taking it I gained a bunch of weight back so I researched about other peptides and found these guys and wanted something that wouldn’t eat away at muscles. Survotide is the answer to my prayers. I am ecstatic with the results and highly recommend this to anyone in the same boat.

Reversing my fatty liver disease and lost 28 lbs in 3 months. I picked this over other GLP-1s because of the muscle mass preservation. I personally didn’t experience side effects. I am so happy its unbelievable!!!

Part 1: Bought this as a gift for a friend who can’t afford it for her obesity and liver disease. I will come back for a part 2 to review this product after if its effective or not.
As far as my experience with the company goes, they were quick to respond to my questions and concerns, updated my order accordingly, provided tracking info and product arrived relatively quick considering it was shipped via Canada Post.
