Description
Mazdutide (LY3305677, IBI362) is a lipidated peptide that activates both the GLP-1 and glucagon receptors, a design modelled on the gut hormone oxyntomodulin. Pure Peptides Canada supplies it only as a lyophilized laboratory reagent in 10 mg vials, with an independent Janoshik HPLC and mass-spectrometry report and tracked shipping from inside Canada. It is not authorized in Canada and is not for human use.
Mazdutide at a glance
- What it is: a 34-residue GLP-1/glucagon receptor dual agonist, discovered at Eli Lilly and developed in China by Innovent Biologics.
- What researchers study: the balance between GLP-1 and glucagon receptor activity, liver-fat and energy-expenditure pathways, and comparisons with other incretin agonists.
- Evidence level: cell, animal and Phase 3 human trials. Approved in China in June 2025; not approved in Canada, the US or Europe.
- Supplied as: sealed lyophilized powder, 10 mg, single vial or box of 10.
- Delivery: ships from inside Canada by tracked Xpresspost in 3–7 days ($25 CAD), or free in 4–12 days on orders over $299.
Regulatory status: mazdutide is approved only in China and is not authorized in Canada. The research reagent sold here is not the branded medicine. We sell it strictly as a laboratory reagent for in-vitro research to qualified research buyers, and we do not provide dosing, administration or medical information.

What is mazdutide?
Oxyntomodulin is a 37-amino-acid gut hormone released from the same intestinal cells as GLP-1, and it activates both the GLP-1 and glucagon receptors. It is cleared from the blood quickly, so drug developers built longer-lasting versions. Mazdutide began at Eli Lilly as LY3305677; a fatty-acid side chain on lysine 20 lets it bind albumin and stay in circulation far longer than the native hormone.
Innovent Biologics developed it in China as IBI362. Its pivotal Phase 3 trial, GLORY-1, was published in The New England Journal of Medicine in 2025, and in June 2025 China’s National Medical Products Administration approved it for chronic weight management, the first approval of a GLP-1/glucagon dual agonist anywhere. Trial details, with sources, are in our mazdutide vs survodutide guide.
What mazdutide research looks at
- Receptor balance: relative activity at GLP-1 and glucagon receptors in receptor-expressing cell lines.
- Glucagon-receptor biology: hepatic lipid handling and energy-expenditure pathways.
- Class comparisons: side-by-side work with survodutide, another GLP-1/glucagon dual agonist, and the tri-agonist retatrutide.
- Analytical methods: separating similar-sized lipidated incretin peptides by mass and chromatography.

Where can I buy mazdutide in Canada?
Pure Peptides Canada supplies mazdutide only as a lyophilized laboratory reagent in 10 mg vials, shipped from inside Canada by tracked Xpresspost in 3–7 days ($25 CAD), or free in 4–12 days on orders over $299. It is not the branded medicine and is not sold for human use.
Is mazdutide approved in Canada?
No. Mazdutide is approved only in China, where it was approved for chronic weight management in June 2025. It is not authorized in Canada.
What is the difference between mazdutide and survodutide?
Both activate the GLP-1 and glucagon receptors, but they are different molecules from different companies. Mazdutide has a mass of about 4563 Da and survodutide about 4232 Da, so mass-spectrometry data tells them apart.
How do I confirm the identity of a mazdutide batch?
Check that the mass-spectrometry result matches mazdutide’s theoretical mass, about 4563 Da, that the HPLC method suits lipidated peptides, and that the lot number matches your vial. Our COA guide and HPLC guide explain what to look for.
Can mazdutide be used in people or animals?
No. This product is for in-vitro laboratory research only and is not a drug, supplement or food. We do not provide dosing or administration information.
For laboratory research use only. Not a drug, supplement, food or cosmetic, not for human or veterinary use, and not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.
