Step 3 of the GHK-Cu face routine, used morning and evening.
What is the GHK-Cu Facial Serum?
A serum is the lightest, most concentrated step in a routine. It goes on bare, freshly toned skin so that richer layers can sit on top of it. This one keeps the formula focused: GHK-Cu as the copper peptide, three humectants (hyaluronic acid, glycerin and panthenol) to help skin hold on to moisture, and aloe vera and cucumber for a cool, calm feel.
Skin looks hydrated, plumper and more even, with a healthy-looking glow, and feels balanced rather than tight or greasy. With continued use the serum helps improve the look of skin tone and clarity. Its pale blue colour comes from the copper peptide itself.
Key ingredients

| Hyaluronic acid | A humectant that draws in and holds water, for a plumper, smoother look. |
| Glycerin | A long-established humectant that supports lasting hydration. |
| Aloe vera extract | A botanical that leaves skin feeling calm and refreshed. |
| Cucumber extract | Adds a cool, light feel to the serum. |
| Panthenol (pro-vitamin B5) | Conditions skin and supports a soft, smooth feel. |
About GHK-Cu (copper tripeptide-1)
GHK is a tripeptide, a chain of three amino acids (glycine, histidine and lysine), that occurs naturally in human plasma. Loren Pickart and Martin Thaler first identified it in 1973, and it binds copper(II) so strongly that it was originally isolated as a copper complex. Bound to copper it becomes GHK-Cu, which cosmetic labels list as copper tripeptide-1 and which gives this serum its blue tint.
For the published science on GHK-Cu, including where the evidence is still limited, read GHK-Cu copper peptide: what the research shows.

Pairing tips
Works well with
- The GHK-Cu Facial Toner before it
- The GHK-Cu Face Cream or GHK-Cu Tallow Balm after it
- A broad-spectrum SPF 30+ sunscreen in the morning
Keep to a separate routine
- Direct exfoliating acids (AHAs, and BHAs such as salicylic acid)
- Pure vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid) and other strong antioxidants
- Retinoids
Copper peptide makers commonly advise against applying copper peptides in the same routine as these ingredients. If they are part of your regimen, use them at a different time from the serum.
Good to know: for external use only. Patch test on a small area, such as the inner forearm, 24 to 48 hours before first use. Avoid the eye area, don’t apply to broken or irritated skin, and stop using the serum if irritation develops. Keep the bottle tightly closed, away from heat and direct sunlight, and out of reach of children.

Where can I buy a GHK-Cu serum in Canada?
Pure Peptides Canada sells the GHK-Cu Facial Serum online and ships it from inside Canada by tracked Xpresspost in 3–7 days ($25 CAD), or free in 4–12 days on orders over $299.
Why is the serum blue?
The colour comes from GHK-Cu itself. The copper(II) ion bound to the peptide is blue, which is why copper peptide serums usually have a blue tint.
How many drops should I use?
Three to five drops cover the face and neck. Press the serum in after toner, let it absorb, then follow with your moisturizer.
Can I use it with vitamin C, retinol or exfoliating acids?
Copper peptide makers commonly advise against applying copper peptides in the same routine as direct acids, retinoids or pure vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid). If you use those ingredients, keep them to a separate routine.
Is it suitable for sensitive skin?
Patch test on a small area 24 to 48 hours before first use, and stop using it if irritation develops. If your skin is very reactive, check the full ingredient list before you start.
