Description
Kisspeptin-10 is the shortest fully active form of kisspeptin, the hypothalamic peptide that acts as the master switch for the reproductive hormone axis through its receptor KISS1R (GPR54). It is a core tool in neuroendocrine research. Pure Peptides Canada supplies it as a lyophilized research reagent in 10 mg vials, with an independent Janoshik HPLC and mass-spectrometry report, CAD pricing and tracked shipping from inside Canada.

What is kisspeptin-10?
The KISS1 gene was discovered in 1996 at Penn State’s Hershey campus as a suppressor of melanoma metastasis, which is why it was named after the town’s famous chocolate and why its peptide was first called metastin. The bigger surprise came in 2003, when two groups showed that people with mutations in its receptor, GPR54, never go through puberty. Kisspeptin turned out to be the key upstream signal that switches on GnRH neurons and, through them, the entire reproductive hormone axis.
The full peptide, kisspeptin-54, is cut into shorter forms, and the last ten residues, kisspeptin-10, are enough to activate the receptor. That makes kisspeptin-10 the standard tool for receptor and signalling studies. Human physiology research, including work at Imperial College London, has used kisspeptins to study LH secretion and fertility biology, but kisspeptin is not an approved medicine.
What kisspeptin-10 research looks at
- KISS1R pharmacology: Gq-coupled signalling and calcium responses.
- GnRH neuron activation: upstream control of the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis.
- Puberty and fertility biology: LH pulsatility and the timing of reproductive maturation.
- Metastasis suppression: the KISS1 gene’s original role in cancer cell invasion.
- Metabolic links: how energy status signals to the reproductive axis.
Regulatory status: kisspeptin-10 is not an authorized drug in Canada. We sell it strictly as a laboratory reagent for in-vitro research.

Check the mass-spectrometry result for a kisspeptin-10 peptide batch against these values, calculated for human kisspeptin-10, YNWNSFGLRF-NH2 (C63H83N17O14), which ends in a C-terminal amide:
- Monoisotopic mass: 1301.63 Da (average molecular weight about 1302.4 g/mol).
- Expected ions: [M+H]+ at m/z 1302.64 and [M+2H]2+ at m/z 651.82.
- Amide check: the free acid (C-terminal OH instead of NH2) is 0.98 Da heavier, [M+H]+ m/z 1303.62, and deamidation of either asparagine gives the same shift. That lies close to the first isotope peak, so it needs a well-resolved spectrum.
- Species check: rodent kisspeptin-10 ends in tyrosine (YNWNSFGLRY-NH2) and is 15.99 Da heavier, [M+H]+ m/z 1318.63. Tryptophan oxidation can add exactly the same mass, so a peak there may be oxidized material instead.
To tell isotope peaks from modified forms, see our mass spectrum walkthrough, then compare these figures with the Janoshik report on the Lab Testing page.
Kisspeptin-10 FAQ
Where can I buy kisspeptin-10 in Canada?
Pure Peptides Canada stocks kisspeptin-10 as a lyophilized research reagent in 10 mg vials and ships it from inside Canada by tracked Xpresspost in 3–7 days ($25 CAD), or free in 4–12 days on orders over $299.
What is the difference between kisspeptin-10 and kisspeptin-54?
Kisspeptin-54 is the full 54-residue peptide. Kisspeptin-10 is its last ten residues, which keep full activity at the receptor in laboratory assays but break down faster in the body.
Why is it called kisspeptin?
The KISS1 gene was discovered in Hershey, Pennsylvania, and named after the town’s Hershey’s Kisses chocolates. Our kisspeptin guide covers the full story.
Is this kisspeptin-10 third-party tested?
Yes. An HPLC purity and mass-spectrometry identity report from Janoshik Analytical, an independent lab, is listed on our Lab Testing page. Our COA guide explains how to read it.
Can kisspeptin-10 be used in people or animals?
No. This product is for in-vitro laboratory research only and is not a drug, supplement or food. We do not provide dosing or administration information.
For laboratory research use only. Not a drug, supplement, food or cosmetic, not for human or veterinary use, and not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.

Exactly what I was looking for. This helped me in the bedroom and get the spark I needed with the wife if you know what I mean. Cheers. 4 star just because it was backordered and delivery took a couple weeks but im a bit remote also so cp is slow.
